Merz says housing expropriation ban bill is ready

Chancellor Friedrich Merz says a draft bill to ban the expropriation of housing companies is ready. He said compensation in any expropriation remained unresolved, at either 100 or 80 percent of market value. Merz backed 100 percent compensation.

He also considers building on Tempelhofer Feld necessary. By contrast, Linke, Grüne and SPD agreed in their Berlin exploratory talks document that the site would not be built on.
