Boxberg wins awards for two new gas-fired power units

Boxberg received two awards in a tender for gas-fired power units, each with a gross capacity of 560 megawatts.

The planned units are also designed to be converted later to run on hydrogen.

Plans call for conversion work on Unit III to start in 2030, with natural-gas power generation beginning in 2031.
