Electricity tax cut for all remains uncertain

The government is discussing a cut in electricity tax for everyone, but the funding remains unresolved.

The rate would fall from 2.05 cents to 0.1 cents per kilowatt-hour; households could save around five to ten euros a month.

The 2027 budget package is due to be finalized on Thursday, November 12, while many in the Bundestag remain skeptical.
