Dresden puts new sewer for chip factories into operation
Open post in TelegramDresden’s new “Industriesammler Nord” sewer went into operation on Wednesday. The roughly 10-kilometre channel carries wastewater from Infineon, GlobalFoundries, Bosch and ESMC to the Kaditz treatment plant. Once production at the new ESMC plant begins in 2028, chip factories in the north are set to discharge almost as much wastewater as the entire city’s population produces.
