RWE plans three new gas-fired power plants in NRW

RWE is to build three new gas-fired power plants in NRW. The first could begin operating as early as 2030, according to RWE.

Support for all 11 selected power plant projects would cost more than €800 million a year. A proposed new levy would make all electricity customers in Germany pay for it. The size of that charge remains unclear.
