Police step up traffic checks throughout November

Police are stepping up November checks on overtaking and commercial passenger and freight transport. Stationary and mobile checks are planned across all eight police inspectorates under the Neubrandenburg and Rostock police headquarters. The opening checks take place on 3 November in the Anklam police inspectorate area.

Overtaking errors caused more than 1,100 crashes statewide in 2025. Nine people died, while 66 suffered serious injuries and 189 minor injuries.
