Police step up traffic checks in November

Police will increase fixed and mobile traffic checks throughout November across the eight inspection areas under the Neubrandenburg and Rostock police headquarters. The focus is on overtaking and commercial passenger and freight transport. The opening checks take place on November 3 in the Anklam inspection area.

Statewide, overtaking errors caused more than 1,100 crashes in 2025. These left nine people dead, 66 seriously injured and 189 slightly injured.
