Drone-assisted checks on A2 uncover 47 offences

Police used a drone to check following distances on the A2 near Magdeburg on Monday, focusing on heavy goods traffic.

They checked 50 trucks and recorded 47 offences. In 25 cases, trucks failed to keep the required minimum distance of 50 metres. Driving and rest time rules were breached nine times. Loads were inadequately secured in three cases.
