Audi workers strike over wages and cost cuts

Around 3,000 Audi employees demanded higher wages and protested against cost cuts during an overnight warning strike in Ingolstadt, according to IG Metall.

Discussions focus primarily on the possible closure of Audi’s Neckarsulm plant. Audi chief Döllner had announced plans to build a new plant in the United States.

IG Metall is demanding a five percent pay rise and an extra 110 euros for apprentices under a twelve-month agreement.
