Police check more than 70 e-scooters

Police checked more than 70 e-scooters in Munster, Bispingen and Wietzendorf on Friday.

One e-scooter reached 80 km/h. Police seized two e-scooters that significantly exceeded the permitted maximum design speed of 22 km/h. They opened criminal proceedings over driving without a licence and breaches of compulsory insurance law.

Two other riders below the minimum age of 14 were stopped from continuing their journeys.
