Industrial waste fire on Griesemert

A large amount of industrial waste burned at a business yard on Griesemert on Sunday. Heavy smoke and a temperature inversion prompted a public warning through the NINA alert app.

The operation involving around 65 responders ended after about five hours. Improper disposal of batteries was cited as a possible cause of the fire.
