Cologne carnival opening: access restrictions and glass ban

Tens of thousands are expected in Cologne for the carnival season opening on 11 November. Access to the Zülpicher district will be restricted.

A glass ban applies in the Zülpicher district and Old Town from 8am until 8am the next morning.

Roonstraße closes to vehicles between Lindenstraße and Barbarossaplatz from around 2pm on 10 November. KVB line 9 will be diverted both ways from around 7am on opening day.
